1. Definitions

1. “Requester” – A user who creates and funds errands.
2. “Runner” – A user who accepts and completes errands.
3. “Wallet” – The in-app balance used to fund tasks and receive payments.
4. “Escrow” – The secure holding system for funds until a task is completed.
5. “Task/Errand” – Any request posted by a Requester for completion by a Runner.

2. Eligibility

1. You must be at least 18 years old to use WakaMi.
2. Runners must complete KYC (Know-Your-Customer) and biometric verification before accepting tasks.
3. WakaMi reserves the right to refuse or suspend accounts that fail verification or breach these Terms.

3. User Accounts

1. You are responsible for keeping your login and biometric authentication secure.
2. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
3. You may not transfer or share your account with another person.

4. Use of Services

1. Requesters may post errands that are lawful, safe, and comply with WakaMi’s community guidelines.
2. Runners may only accept errands they are capable of completing.
3. Prohibited tasks include illegal activities, restricted goods, or unsafe requests.
4. WakaMi reserves the right to cancel or remove tasks that violate these rules.

5. Payments & Escrow

1. Requesters must fund their wallet before posting a task.
2. Once a Runner accepts, funds move into WakaMi escrow until task completion.
3. Upon completion confirmation, funds are released to the Runner’s wallet.
4. Runners may then withdraw to their bank accounts.
5. WakaMi may charge a service fee, which will be disclosed before confirmation.

6. Task Insurance (Optional)

1. Requesters may add task insurance for extra protection on high-value errands.
2. Insurance terms and coverage details will be displayed at checkout.

7. Real-Time Tracking

1. All tasks come with GPS tracking for transparency and safety.
2. Requesters can monitor their Runner’s location until the task is completed.

8. Diaspora & Inter-City Use

1. Nigerians abroad may fund errands for their loved ones back home via WakaMi.
2. Inter-city errands (e.g., Lagos → Ibadan deliveries) are supported, subject to logistics feasibility.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

1. If a Runner cannot complete a task, funds are automatically returned to the Requester’s wallet.
2. WakaMi may deduct service or cancellation fees where applicable.
3. Disputes are handled through WakaMi’s in-app support.

10. Ratings & Reviews

1. After each task, Requesters and Runners may rate and review each other.
2. Ratings help maintain quality and trust. Abusive or fake reviews may be removed.

11. Prohibited Conduct

1. Use WakaMi for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
2. Post misleading or false errands.
3. Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
4. Attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the platform.
5. Violation may result in account suspension or legal action.

12. Limitation of Liability

1. WakaMi is a platform, not the direct provider of errands.
2. Requesters and Runners enter into agreements with each other at their own risk.
3. WakaMi is not liable for delays, errors, or damages beyond what is covered under escrow or optional insurance.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WakaMi, its affiliates, and employees from claims, damages, or losses arising from your misuse of the platform.

14. Changes to Terms

WakaMi may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
